I take care of myself by getting 6-8 hours of sleep.Yes I do stretch before games because i feel move energetic.I also think that if you stretch and and fruit and veggies you can do more things.
During my time at HoopHers, I enjoyed the stretches we did. It helped me stretch parts of my body that I would never think of. Also, the stretches I did made my body feel good. In addition, I thought it was cool how she talked about mindfulness and how it can get me into the basketball mindset before games as well as off the court. I will definitely be adding different stretches and taking mindful minutes before games.
My pre-game practices are, trying to figure out how many points I want to make, how will I contribute to my team, how can I have a good game, and how to keep a positive attitude. When off the court I try to drink a lot of water, and do some cardio to keep putting in work because it all adds up in the end to success. I think I should add in stretching more to my routine, so I don’t cramp up.
Off the court I have a great support system my mom and I drink green smoothies to replacement 2 meals a day. I also stretch and meditate for a moment. I’m always nervous before games because I just start taking basketball serious last year even though I’ve been playing for a while. Hoophers have been a great experience with a few minor exceptions but my dad says it comes with the game ..
My pre-game practice are….getting my head in the game… getting focused…listening to music that will get me hype…and getting ready to preform. I also try to reserve my energy before a game so I’m not playing around.
I try my best to be healthy and drink water. Pretty much all of my home cooked meals have one green vegetable. Before a game, all I do is stretch, mostly my legs. I play for fun everyday in a school week so I guess that’s kind of a work out…
Before a game some things that I do are, get a few shots up to warm up, and stretch my legs out. Off of the court I drink a lot of water to stay hydrated. I also go to other workouts outside of practice.
I am just getting in the habit of excerising and eating better to help me stay healthy on and off the court. I’m going through something called growing pains so the doctor told me to eat a lot of veggies and calcium. Stretching is always good before working out or playing.
Before the game I shootaround to warm myself up.Then I stretch my arms and legs out.Of the court I eat healthy snacks like apples and oranges and other fruits and vegetables.
The way I take care of myself before the games are stretching because any time you can injury yourself on the court or off. But I would eat soft foods because if you eat heavy foods you can get a cramp on the court and that is the worst thing that will happen to me even if I am playing okay. Also I would get a good night sleep before the game cause you don’t want to be to tried.
